In order to write the AMFTRB national exam an application for associate licensure in marriage and family therapy in North Dakota must be received and approved. It is offered three times a year.
Once completing national exam and supervised experience, an applicant may apply for the state exam. Also, through endorsement from another licensing jurisdiction, one may apply for the state exam. NDMFTLB will schedule these as needed.
- NEW Marriage and Family Therapist, $450
- NEW Licenensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, $180
- Endorsement from another jurisdiction, $550
Accredited MFT Academic Programs
Find academic programs which are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE).
The COAMFTE reviews and grants accreditation to programs at a Masters, Doctoral, and Post-Degree level that meet or exceed COAMFTE Accreditation Standards.
